Update from Mission Alive Canada
Jeremy Hoover, Executive Director Mission Alive Canada
Mission Alive Canada is off to a good start in 2026! We are continuing to develop relationships with the Restoration Movement heritage colleges in Canada as well as with other churches in southwestern Ontario.
An upcoming event that we are excited about is the opportunity to host a Church of Christ church leaders’ retreat in Ontario in April. Our hope in this gathering is that a greater sense of unity and togetherness will be achieved, as church leaders come together and realize that we are all pursuing the same goal–the coming of the kingdom of God.
In addition to planning for this retreat, I am currently undergoing a fundraising training that will help to solidify our financial picture for the future.
We continue to support the Newmarket Church of Christ in their search for a neighbourhood minister who will live in and serve both the neighbourhood across the road from the church and the communities that exists in several high-rise apartment buildings that surround the church. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in learning more, please reach out to me at executivedirector@missionalivecanada.ca.
Lastly, I have begun to take steps to revitalize an old church plant in Sarnia. I have secured two community partners who will support this work and provide space for us to gather in. I am working with a third community partner who I’m hopeful will partner with me to help lead this revitalization. Please pray for Mission Alive Canada, for Sarnia, and for me, as we hope to launch this revitalization later this year.
Peace,
Jeremy Hoover
