Our Six Types of Innovative Faith Communities

Individual Missional Initiatives start when individuals identify a need in your community and start regularly volunteering to address that need. Remain active in your current church but join God’s mission by improving life for those in your community and letting your faith shine through the relationships you form. We’ll help you discern the needs of your community, get started and sustain your efforts.

Missional Small Groups start by gathering a few friends who share a passion to make a difference in your community. As a group, you will identify a marginalized segment and begin volunteering to address a need. While everyone remains active in their current church, your group joins God’s mission to the marginalized as you serve and let your faith shine through the relationships you form. We’ll help you discern the needs of your community, get started and sustain your efforts.

Missional House Churches are house-sized faith communities that enjoy the worship and deep relationships of a small group but place an equal emphasis on engaging a marginalized community within their larger community. Mission Alive will help you identify a marginalized community and one challenge they face on which your Missional House Church can focus your missional efforts. We will offer you training and coaching to help you get started and keep you going.

Missional Community Networks embody Christ through missionally addressing a specific marginalized community need and growing a spiritual community out of that mission. Mission Alive will help you identify a marginalized community need that your new IFC can address. We will offer you training and coaching to help you get started and keep you going.

Missional Neighborhood Parishes invest deeply in their immediate neighbors. They work as “street pastors” and their missional engagements address a wide variety of needs all aimed at those living in a specific neighborhood. Mission Alive will help you identify a marginalized neighborhood on which your Missional Neighborhood Parish can focus your missional efforts. We will offer you training and coaching to help you get started and keep you going.
