Our IFC in Lufkin, Texas needs your immediate help
At Lufkin Street Ministries 25:40, our mission is simple but urgent—serve and care for the homeless and those experiencing pervasive poverty in our community. We also step in to support first responders and recovery teams during disasters, providing meals and encouragement when it’s needed most.
One recent example was our trip to Hunt, Texas, where our team served the recovery crews working tirelessly after the July 4th flooding. Moments like these remind us just how important it is to be equipped to respond quickly and effectively—both locally and in times of crisis.
As our ministry grows, we’ve identified two key needs that would allow us to serve more people more efficiently:
- A generator – vital for powering equipment during disaster relief and community events. Cost: $900
- A barbecue pit on a trailer – perfect for cooking for large groups in the field. We’ve already found one here in Lufkin that would be an ideal fit for our ministry. Cost: $3,200
We are blessed to already have a 6×12 cargo trailer equipped with outlets—ready to plug in and put to work. These new additions would expand our reach and help us provide warm, nourishing meals in challenging situations.
Our prayer is that you would consider supporting our mission with a gift toward these needs—or by sharing this with others who might be able to help. Every gift, no matter the size, moves us closer to making this vision a reality.
