A message from Kevin Vance, church planter in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada:
Mission Alive Canada (MAC) is looking to partner with the Newmarket Church of Christ (NCC) for a new missional project in their community just north of Toronto, called Parish House. Over the last several years, NCC has been reaching out to an impoverished community near their building. They plan to hire a full-time missional leader to live and work in this community, building on the good relations that have already been cultivated. Once a person has been hired by NCC, Mission Alive Canada will provide training and coaching. These services are extremely important, as they provide a confidential listening ear, support and encouragement, and also skills, knowledge and problem solving guidance.
The Newmarket Church of Christ has secured funding for this project for three years. We are excited to partner with them in this bold and courageous initiative. If anyone is interested in this position, reach out to the minister at NCC, Nathan Pickard (pickardnathan@hotmail.com). Please pray for the success of our partnership.
