Mission Alive is proud to be an International Coach Federation (ICF) Level 1 accredited organization offering Catalyze Coach Training as preparation for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) ICF credential. This past April, the ICF launched major changes in their approach to training coaches. The new training requirements focus primarily on how coaches are mentored and develop the skills that prepare them for the ACC credentials. Mentor coaches are now required to hold a new Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) credential. This week, Steve Shaffer, received his MCS badges meeting the enhanced requirements to mentor coach at both the ACC and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level.
It’s time to consider coach training. Both the Leadership and the Professional Certification tracks will empower your discipleship, teaching, and training of others. Isn’t it time to stop ‘shooting from the hip’ and get trained!? New cohorts are forming now for:
- Catalyze Leadership Track– Provides the foundational training and introductory skills to apply coaching in leadership settings. Perfect for people who have frequent spiritual conversations, work with coaches, supervise ministry leaders, or just want to enhance their coaching skills. This track can be upgraded to continue towards coaching credentials.
- Catalyze Professional Certification Track– Prepares you for ICF ACC credentials so you are ready to practice coaching in professional settings and includes: Leadership track foundations, a 3 hour ICF Ethics Course, a Professional skills mastery following the new ICF formative evaluation mentor coaching framework.
- Enhanced Mentor Coaching Extension– Provides four individual mentor coaching hours follow the standardized ICG process reviewing recorded sessions, reviewing session observation forms completed by your mentor coach, and co-developing step by step skill improvement goals.
