Our Missional-Incarnational Commitment

Mission Alive is committed to planting innovative faith communities that are both missional and incarnational. Embracing a missional view of the church means that we prioritize engaging our community. Embracing an incarnational view of the church means that we prioritize living with and among the people we serve, developing authentic relationships.

community gathering

As a missional-incarnational church planting organization we are dedicated to pursing faith communities that are deeply connected to their neighborhoods. “Missional” signifies an outward focus, actively engaging those outside the church by understanding their perspectives and sharing the Gospel relevantly. We cross boundaries to meet people where they are.

“Incarnational” calls for deep presence, mirroring Jesus’ embodiment (John 1:14). Our planters embed themselves within communities, building authentic relationships and demonstrating Christ’s love through their lives. They learn the local culture, understand social dynamics, and address both spiritual and tangible needs.

We equip leaders to become part of the community, not just visitors. This involves getting to know their communities, learning the unique character of the local culture, and addressing both the spiritual longings and tangible needs of the community. Our aim isn’t to transplant a model, but to cultivate unique expressions of faith that organically grow from the local context. Our innovative faith communities are deeply rooted and actively reaching out with the love of Jesus, leading to individual and community flourishing. This embodies the Gospel through genuine relationships and service.
