Meet two more of our dedicated board members:

Michael Martin

Michael is relative newcomer to the board, joining in 2024. Michael is an attorney and partner at the law firm of Myers, Widders, Gibson, Jones & Feingold, LLP. Before receiving his Juris Doctor from Ventura College of Law, Michael earned a BS in Biblical Studies/Missions at Abilene Christian University and a MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Julia, live in Ventura, California.

Why do I serve on the Mission Alive board?

Because it focuses on an essential aspect of Jesus’ ministry to the marginalized – to proclaim good news to the poor, to free captives, to restore sight to the blind, and to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18-19).

Tom Cooper

Tom is our newest member, joining the board in 2025. He attended Missouri State University and spent much of his professional career in the tech industry. Tom and his wife, Nancy, live in Naples, Florida, where they are active in their local church and together volunteer with CASA. Tom has served on the Big Brothers Big Sisters board of directors and founded New Horizons of North Texas, an after-school program for underprivileged youth.
