In our last issue we introduced our Ministry Opportunity page  This week we’ll share more about these exciting opportunities:

  • Hope Afield is a nonprofit started in 2016 to offer mentoring and life skills training to at-risk and underprivileged youth in Butler and Lowndes counties, Alabama. In an outdoor environment they promote hope, healing and purpose. Their goal is to teach young people how to work, how to play and how to live. Hope Afield is seeking a new Director of Operations.
  • Carrollton Avenue Church of Christ has been serving this mid-city neighborhood of New Orleans for the past 90 years. The gentrification of the neighborhood has created the need to pivot in their current ministry. The person filling the ministry position will help the congregation seek out what God is doing there and how they can join Him in that redemptive work.
  • Newmarket Church of Christ is seeking a Neighborhood Ministeto live within the Newmarket Height’s community and be involved in the life of the people living there. The Neighborhood Minister will work closely with the preaching minister as Luke 10:1-12 becomes a defining text of the church’s life.

If you would like to learn more about these exciting opportunities, visit our Ministry Opportunities webpage.. Then schedule a time with Tod Vogt, Mission Alive Executive Director, to talk about how you can get involved.
