Mission Alive is entering a season of transition as two beloved team members step out of their roles and a new person joins our ministry team. Seasons of change can bring a sense of uncertainty, but they also remind us that God is faithful to lead, provide, and open new doors for the work ahead.
Becky Shaffer and Andy Johnson have each served Mission Alive with deep commitment, grace, and care. Becky’s faithful service has been a gift to this ministry. Through her steady leadership and careful attention, she has helped to keep Mission Alive’s administrative necessities organized and moving forward, and the systems she built will continue to bless Mission Alive for years to come. Her work, much of it unseen, has quietly strengthened the ministry of so many. Andy has also made a meaningful impact through his care for church planters and his commitment to their training and well-being. We give thanks to God for Becky and Andy and for the ways they have helped shape Mission Alive.
At the same time, we are grateful to welcome Evan Tardy to the team. Evan recently completed a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Missiology from Abilene Christian University. Her arrival is not simply about filling a role, but about continuing to follow God’s lead with fresh perspective, faithful gifts, and a shared heart for the mission. With gratitude for the past and hope for the future, we trust that God will continue to guide Mission Alive into the next season of ministry.
