In 2007, Patti and I moved to San Antonio and were soon inspired by the original staff of Mission Alive to do something we felt we had been prepared for since becoming followers of Christ–we wanted to plant house churches who would continue to meet in homes without the added burden of property and staff. After initially supporting ourselves through the sale of our home (and a few generous individuals), we were partially supported by the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Abilene, TX, from 2007-2023.
Beginning this year, The Crossing (our house church) is now supporting us with the same amount that Southern Hills was providing. This is a large commitment from a very generous church. Together we make disciples from people we meet in restaurants, coffee shops, our neighborhood app, our neighborhood Bible study and from anywhere we meet people. This is mission work at its basic level and we love what God has called us to do.
