| Acronyms. They make communication more efficient, but only if you know what they mean. At Mission Alive, we have been know to throw around an acronym or two, so to make sure we all speak the same language, below is a brief glossary of MA’s most commonly used shortcuts (starting with MA=Mission Alive!)
IFCs -Innovative Faith Communities. IFCs are at the core of what we do–train leaders to transform communities through a serve-first model which integrates spiritual formation with community flourishing. Learn more HERE.
RSTI – Rural and Small Town Initiative. This initiative trains leaders to form Innovative Faith Communities (IFCs) specifically in rural and small town communities in the U.S. This initiative recently received grants from Lilly Endowment, Inc. through Pepperdine University. Our three current IFCs in the RSTI are in Lufkin and Bertram, Texas and in Spartanburg, North Carolina. Learn more HERE.
M813 – Mission 813. M813 is an extension of Mission Alive whose primary function is to provide encouragement in financial and practical ways specifically to female IFC leaders. Donations given through M13 go to support all Mission Alive IFC efforts. Learn more HERE.
CCT– Catalyze Coach Training. We offer three levels of coach training.: Leadership Track, Certification Track and Professional Track. Coach training provides a unique way to think about conversations combined with the essential skills that build trust and authenticity. Learn more HERE.
ICF – (No, this isn’t a typo.) International Coaching Federation. ICF is the gold standard in coach training. CCT is an ICF approved training program.
DCs – Discipleship Cohorts. DCs are small groups of Christians who meet weekly in person or online to encourage healthy spiritual disciplines of listening and following God. The structure and natural accountability of regular meetings create habits that will change your life with God. Learn more HERE.
BOD – Board of Directors. Our board of directors is made up of a dedicated group of men and women from all around the U.S. who come from a variety of backgrounds with one goal– to prayerfully guide Mission Alive. Meet our BOD HERE.
