Thanks to You, 20 Matters!
Our 20th anniversary celebration was a joyful success! Our setting at the Museum of Biblical Art was nestled amongst a heavenly host of inspiring works like “Call to Worship”, “Tapestry of the Centuries”, and Salvador Dali’s, “Heaven”. Joined by almost 120 of both our best and newest friends, we not only reminisced over the rich twenty-year history of Mission Alive but also looked forward to what God is stirring in our hearts for the next twenty years.
Although Gailyn and Becky Van Rheenen were unable to attend in person, we were blessed to hear their hearts and how God is working through them now via video. Other guests included pastors and leaders of Mission Alive church plants dating back to 2006 – almost to our very beginning. It was such a joy to hear from Kevin Vance (Regina), Ben Stevens (Forney), Steve Allen (Irving), Vini Montesdeoca (Abilene), Wes Gunn (Wetumpka) and Blake Burchfield (South Dakota).
A highlight of the evening was the opportunity to recognize one of our most faithful and generous. In unanimous fashion, we recognized Leslie Fry with Mission Alive’s Mustard Seed Award. It was truly a joy to celebrate together what God is doing!
