Equipping for Ministry with Mission Alive brings together coaching and spiritual direction and weaves them together to prepare church leaders to equip others to live out God’s calling.

Mission Alive is licensed by CoachNet International Ministries® and offers coach certification as one of the CoachNet® family of coach training organizations, the most well-established Christian coach training platform.  Mission Alive’s equipping labs 1 & 2 are built on a solid coaching philosophy, extensive research, and thousands of hours of coaching by hundreds of coaches through CoachNet® and other coach training organizations.

Equipping in Mission Alive combines coach training and spiritual direction.  Coach training helps to develop in the coach-in-training the attitude and impulses necessary walk alongside another without dictating what they should do or succumbing to mere advice-giving.  Equipping in spiritual direction introduces the participant to contemplative spirituality and the historic practice of spiritual guidance and helps the spiritual director join the directee in discerning God’s leading in his/her life through spiritual listening and discernment.

Beyond developing coaching skills, Mission Alive’s Equipping Labs prepare the church leader to help others discern God’s leading.  Through equipping in spiritual direction, participants reorient their ministry to focus on the spiritual formation and renewal of others.

Throughout the 6-step equipping process, participants will receive a wide range of learning experiences including reading relevant literature, lab presentations, demonstration coaching, practice coaching, spiritual direction, mentoring, journaling, and assessment.

Mission Alive’s Equipping Labs are designed to help church planters and church leaders develop equipping skills that will assist them to spiritually walk with others, help them discern their spiritual calling and gifting and intentionally take steps of spiritual growth and development.

Mission Alive’s Director of Equipping, Tod K Vogt, is a certified coach and coach mentor by CoachNet International Ministries© and a member of the International Coach Federation and the Christian Coaches Network.  He is also a member of Spiritual Directors International.  Additionally, Mission Alive is licensed by CoachNet© to train coaches using CoachNet’s© coach training system.
